Pet a reindeer

Meet the locals!
We have some reindeers at home who are ready to meet you!
They like to go on walks to hunt for fresh snacks in the forrest, or they can take you for a sleigh ride!
They also think its nice to just hangout in their home if you just want to come and say hello.
Taming reindeer have been part for the Sami cultures always. Before there were snowmobiles, reindeers were the only transportation!
Today we use snowmobiles to get around, and move things, but we still try and keep the tradition alive with a few tamed reindeers.

Reindeer hangout
Come take a reindeer walk with us!
If you're up a challenge, we start the day with catching the reindeers with a lasso!
Then we take a walk towards the Kautokeino river, and maybe the reindeers find something to eat on the way. They are also very good to stop for pictures on the way!
Duration 1+ hour
Part of the family
We have a special bond to the tamed reindeers at home since it takes years for them to be trained. It's important to bond with them, and earn their trust.
So of course they need to have names. This is Johan Ánte together with Donald & Minni.
